Oh No…Zombies! – Contest

I’m a big fan of contests. Who doesn’t like free stuff, right? I know I do. That’s why for the past few years I’ve offered up some unique items on my own website…and am now bringing the fun to The Zombie Feed! Below is the first of several contests that will run every so often.

The below item was graciously donated by David Wahl and the good folks at Archie McPhee. If you’ve never heard of Archie McPhee, you really need to go check them out and order something.

The Oh No…Zombies!  – Board Game Contest

Game Details:

It’s come to this. You’re trapped in the middle of nowhere inside a rundown shack surrounded by zombies. Your cell phone doesn’t get reception and the land lines just emit a constant busy signal. Your only hope for survival is to get to one of the abandoned stores so you can get a battery for the CB radio in the shack and a shotgun to help you survive the trip back. Good luck with that. Includes spooky gameboard, fourteen 2″ tall, plastic game pieces, thirty-four cards and three dice.

Brain rotting cool, eh?  Ok, so here’s how you enter:

First, go to Facebook and “Invite” all your friends to “Like” The Zombie Feed.  Then, amble back over to here, click on the title to this post and leave a comment. What sort of comment? Well, anything…that you dig zombie fiction, list your favorite TZF book, that you recently dug up your pet cat from your childhood and are now performing crude rituals in your basement to bring it back to life – whatever! Contest is open until Midnight on Saturday, August 13th. One lucky winner will then be chosen at random and notified here on The Zombie Feed by 8/15. The game will be shipped direct from Archie McPhee to you (yes, you have to provide the address of your hideout if you win). Only one entry per person.

Good luck…and happy zombie hunting!

You can leave a response, or trackback from your own site.

Hi, I’m just the local neighborhood zombie looking for brains to pick. I’m thinking of eating my neighbor, but that would mean that she would stop sending me cookies.

    Rawr! Nar, nar! Noms.

    Sincerely,

Cooperative games emphasize participation, challenge and fun rather than defeating someone. Cooperative games focus on fun and interaction rather than competition and alienation. Cooperative games are not new. Some of the classic games we participated in as children are classic because of the play emphasis. There may be competition involved, but the outcome of the competition is not sitting out or losing. Instead, it may involve switching teams so that everyone ends up on the winning team.
