I’ve always used the BJC as recommended in the earlier posts and it does a good job of all regular printing except it cannot print high quality pctures the color is all off and they look awful. File exists I still can NOT get a printed page This guide didn’t work for me.

What a joke, just booted back into windows cajon I had to print something and it worked fine, but alas linux always has some stupid nagging little problem that forces me back to XP. You may need to restart cups daemon. Join our community today! If that does not work you may have to use the C ommon U nix P rinting S ervice.

Canon i –

I followed the instructions here and installed the pixus drivers downloading: I’ll be trying to install my Canon i later today and will report on how I do. Most of Canon iXXX is i86 supported I had to restart CUPS before the drivers showed up in the printer configuration program.

Does this BJC work for the i as well? I hope this might help someone looking for a workaround.

HOWEVER, and this is the real problem, Windows can’t find a driver for the printer to install and there is no provision in the printer wizard for networked printers that allows me to specify to search the internet for a driver, it only allows me to specify if I have the disk! Reinstalled and now all I get is a successful “Page has been printed” notification about half a second after I print. Sorry this didn’t help.
