When scanning an item in the “find items” field the program only brings up the first in the series of the barcode number in the “Item lookup code” rather than going right to the one you are actually scanning. What a great standard.
It just plugs in between the keyboard and the computer. Dump the scanner and buy the right one.

Don’t hesitate to buy one as between Metrologics excellent tech department and my not giving up, it now works. Since there have been these types of scanners since the beginning of time, we have not done anything in the program to work with any other type of scanner serial, OPOS, etc.
Unfortunately, after scnaner few hours of fiddling with the unit, I found out the model we have doesn’t support USB. And does it also need to be OPOS compliant? There is no configuration for the wedge type to work. That being said if you can setup the OPOS driver so that it gets the scanner to emulate a keyboard wedge through the OPOS driver, then you are all set. You might try checking with Metro Logic Support on that. If there is nothing on the scale ops will get a Timeout value.
